About TSC Labs
Enablement that actually works.
Vendor-neutral cloud native enablement: training, sparring, and architecture guidance for infrastructure and development teams.
The Philosophy
Training should serve the people, not the product.
Vendor-neutral, hands-on, and always shaped around the actual needs of your team.
Vendor-neutral
No product agenda. Technologies are taught because they make sense, not because someone paid for it.
Hands-on
Concepts land through real scenarios. The team works with real infrastructure, not slide decks.
Lasting impact
The goal is not the certificate. It's the understanding that carries forward long after the session ends.
How it started
Starting out in end user support and working my way up to leading an operations department, I spent nearly two decades in systems engineering. Long enough to develop a deep appreciation for the gap between how systems are supposed to work and how they actually do.
When cloud technologies arrived, my initial reaction was skepticism. But curiosity won. Learning Kubernetes and the broader CNCF ecosystem turned into something more than upskilling. It became a genuine fascination with what these tools make possible for the people who build with them.
That pull shaped everything that followed. It started with talks inside the companies I worked for. Explaining things to others forced a deeper level of understanding than any course or certification ever could. From there, involvement in the CNCF community grew organically: co-authoring a whitepaper on Operators, then taking on the role of co-chair of TAG App Delivery, contributing to the governance and direction of the broader ecosystem. In 2023, that work extended to co-authoring the book “Strategizing Continuous Delivery in the Cloud”, putting years of hands-on experience into a form that teams anywhere could learn from. A formal diploma in adult education followed, grounding the enthusiasm for teaching in actual pedagogy. Workshops for industry teams. Sessions at meetups across Europe and at international conferences. The Golden Kubestronaut certification, completing every CNCF certification available, and an ongoing role as an active CNCF Ambassador.
Every person learns differently, and everyone deserves to be genuinely in the driver's seat of their own cloud native journey.
In 2025, TSC Labs made it official. Over the years I had attended many trainings myself. The content was often solid, but something felt consistently missing: the individual. The fact that every person comes with a different background, different gaps, and a different way of making things click. TSC Labs is built around that observation: a focused, single-person operation with one conviction: every person learns differently, and everyone deserves to be genuinely in the driver’s seat of their own cloud native journey. Not just handed a certificate, but equipped with real understanding and real enthusiasm for what the technology makes possible.
The Founder
Thomas Schuetz, MSc
Cloud Native Trainer, Architect & Founder of TSC Labs
Over 25 years in IT, the last decade focused on cloud native and platform engineering. Lecturer at universities of applied sciences, speaker at KubeCon and other international events, active contributor in the CNCF community. The work at TSC Labs spans three areas: structured training for teams and individuals, sparring sessions that help unblock specific challenges, and architecture guidance that shapes long-term technical direction. The transition from traditional systems engineering into cloud native was challenging, and deeply rewarding. That experience shapes how every engagement happens: with empathy for where each person is starting from, genuine curiosity about how things work at depth, and the goal of passing that enthusiasm on.
